Institute 1: Principles for Agricultural Science (Plant), June 4-15, 2012

The Principles of Agricultural Science – Plant™ course is intended to serve as a foundation course within the CASE™ sequence. The course is structured to enable all students to have a variety of experiences that will provide an overview of the field of agricultural science with a foundation in plant science so that students may continue through a sequence of courses through high school. Students will work in teams, exploring hands-on projects and activities, to learn the characteristics of plant science and work on major projects and problems similar to those that plant science specialists, such as horticulturalists, agronomists, greenhouse and nursery mangers and producers, and plant research specialists face in their respective careers. This knowledge and skills will be used in future courses within the CASE™ program. For more information about this course, checking out the CASE4Learning Website.

CI Schedule: Please plan to arrive on Monday, June 4th before for the evening registration and kick-off session that begins at 4 p.m. at the FFA Enrichment Center. The Institute will be completed by Noon on Friday, June 15th.

Registration is $2,500 per participant for The Principles of Agricultural Science- Plant Institute.


Institute 2: Field Test Institute for Animal and Plant Biotechnology, June 11-22, 2012

The FFA Enrichment Center has been chosen as one of two institutes to pilot the new Animal and Plant Biotechnology CASE Institutes. For more information about this pilot institute, check out the CASE4Learning APB Website.

CI Schedule: Please plan to arrive on Monday, June 11th before for the evening registration and kick-off session that begins at 4 p.m. at the FFA Enrichment Center. The Institute will be completed by Noon on Friday, June 22nd.

*Please note this Institute is during Region III NAAE Conference which is also held at the FFA Enrichment Center. All participants of the Institute are expected to fully participate in the Institute during this time and will not be allowed to participate in Region III Conference during the Institute hours of 8a.m. to 5p.m.


Registration is $2,500 per participant for the Animal and Plant Biotechnology Institute and is administered through CASE.
